Trump 2
Well, whaddya know. Amid the tears, sobs, screams, emotional breakdowns, hissy fits, lame excuses, moronic rationalizations, and furious backpedaling of the Democrats and all their deluded, left-wing liberal cohorts and their obedient lapdogs in the mainstream media, Donald John Trump is going to be the President of the United States. Again.
Surprise! It's Trump 2.
In this article, I want to share some thoughts about how Trump's election to a second term might impact not just the state of our country, but also the sequence of events that God's Word tells us will transpire in the end times. I'm not necessarily out to prove a lot of things to you—I just want to share some thoughts and observations about Trump and his recent win in the 2024 election, and speculate a bit as to how things might play out with Trump back in the White House. And in the process get a few things off my chest.
And I may as well toss this out there right now:
Trump 2 may not be all peaches and cream.
But no matter what happens, never forget:
It's all part of God's plan—it always is.
The first thing I want to discuss is the people who went all out to prevent him from running, let alone winning. Trump has already promised to deal with some of these people, and we are already seeing some clear signs of Trump's intentions in this regard even before he takes office on January 20.
The rat's nest
At the moment, it appears that Trump is preparing to do everything he can to sweep out the rat's nest in Washington starting on January 20, and as a result a sizable nestful of Trump-hating rodents are already scurrying for cover.
Case in point: Jack Smith, Special Counsel for the United States Department of Justice, has been one of the chief perpetrators of the dummied-up lawfare that has been thrown at Trump over the last couple of years for the express and thinly veiled purpose of derailing his attempt to run for president again. Trump has promised to fire Smith within two seconds of taking office, and rightly so. But straight up—firing Jack Smith would be going easy on him, because the man is a criminal and deserves prison time (right along with a few brazenly corrupt lawyers like Fani Willis and district attorneys like Alvin Bragg).
According to various news sources, Smith, whose cold, nasty scowl has understandably been reduced to a cowering whimper since Trump won the election, is planning to step down before Trump is inaugurated—and it doesn't take a DC insider to figure out why:
He is desperate to avoid the humiliation of being fired by the same guy he tried and failed to destroy with a deluge of phony lawsuits.
So either way, it's adiós Jack. There are a number of people in the DOJ and assorted attorneys and judges who literally committed crimes in a desperate effort to make at least one of the bogus lawsuits against Trump stick long enough to prevent him from running again. And it mattered not that any such rulings would almost certainly be overturned by cooler legal heads, because all that mattered was that it might prevent Trump from being able to run.
One particular incident that drove home the true purpose of all the lawfare that was heaped on Trump occurred in a CNN interview with J.D. Vance back on May 31. Trump had just been (temporarily) found guilty on 34 counts in the bogus lawsuits against him, and Vance sat down for an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer. After prefacing the interview by emphasizing to viewers that Trump was now officially a "convicted felon 34 times," the very first question for J.D. Vance that lept out of Wolf Blitzer's mouth was this:
"Are you interested in being the running mate of a convicted felon?"
That's it. That's all Blitzer could focus on: being able to repeatedly call Trump a "convicted felon" on national television. To his credit, Vance succinctly dismantled everything thrown at him by Blitzer—a veteran newsman who has been reduced to a paper-mache MSM-ozoid who did nothing but put on graphic display the single, solitary reason for the lawfare against Trump:
It was so the liberal left and the mainstream media
could sing and dance and shout with jubilation:
"Trump's a CONVICTED FELON,
Trump's a CONVICTED FELON,
Neener neener neener!!"
It actually made me a bit nostalgic, because I still remember the days back in the early 1990s when I had a lot of respect for Wolf Blitzer and actually watched CNN regularly to keep up with what was going on in the world.
Sigh...those days are long gone.
Luckily, there are still people in the legal profession and the Justice Department who know the law and uphold it without prejudice, so this whole effort turned out to be a spectacular, humiliating failure that did nothing but vindicate Trump as details emerged about what a laughable sham most of these lawsuits actually were. In a sense, it ended up resembling a movie script:
It made Trump look like the heroic, outnumbered underdog who wages battle against the powerful bad guys and emerges victorious in the end.
And I don't know about you, but I love it when the underdog wins. In other words, the bad guys' complete and utter failure to stop Trump only served to enhance his image as a Republican juggernaut in the minds of millions of average Americans—people who wisely ignored the uppity palaver of the mainstream media, TDS-infected left-wing liberals, and celebrities who were literally paid to endorse Kamala Harris. Speaking of which...
Trump won—you lose: One thing I find amusing is the legions of celebrity endorsements for Harris that poured forth from the entertainment industry. Music and film megastars like Harrison Ford, Robert De Niro (who sadly suffers from stage 4 TDS), Richard Gere, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and legions of others all "entertained" us with their gushing support for Harris.
What strikes me about such people is the fact that one of the most common characteristics you see in them is that they invariably assume their celebrity magnifies the validity and importance of their opinions. They truly believe that their opinions matter more than ours simply because they are big stars, and so little people like us can easily be influenced by their views.
But what's even more amusing to me is that millions of average Americans sent a message to the stars this time, and that message is simply this:
We don't want and don't need
your opinions on important issues.
OK? Clear enough? Look, you're an actor. You're a singer. So why don't you go make a movie or record a song or whatever it is you do and let us common folks make our own decisions about important issues that you clearly know surprisingly little about. Oh, and by the way, after seeing the way you viciously trashed Trump and heaped glowing, unfounded praise on a phony, shockingly unqualified Kamala Harris, my opinion of you is so diminished that I just don't see myself spending my hard-earned money going to see your next film or buying your next CD. Bottom line: Trump won—you lose.
Trump campaigned with the slogan "Drain the Swamp" in his 2016, 2020, and 2024 campaigns, but in his first term he was unable to do as much swamp-draining as he intended. But this time, it is becoming clearer with each passing day that America is looking at a tougher, more resolved, more seasoned Trump that has a better understanding of who and what he is up against and what he must do to change things.
And he knows the Democrats will make it as difficult as humanly possible.
Not only that, but he is returning to the White House with strong support from the majority of average Americans who are thrilled at the possibility of living in the America they once knew and loved after seeing it so grievously damaged by the liberal left. After four years of their focused efforts to damage and weaken this country, many Americans are breathing a huge sigh of relief that we just might be able to make some progress toward that goal with a president whose love for America is deep and fierce and who seeks above all else to restore it to a semblance of its former glory.
And that fact is exciting his supporters and scaring his detractors.
Team Trump
Naturally, Trump isn't going to be alone in his efforts to repair some of the damage the left has done to this country and put an end to some of the lunacy that has overtaken American society. And just what exactly do I mean by "lunacy," you ask? Well, here's one of my favorite examples:
How about allowing men who identify as women to dominate women's sports and crush the dreams of the top female athletes in the country?
It truly amazes me that people can be that stupid. Yes, stupid. I don't care what kind of gender fantasies (emphasis on the word "fantasies") people traffic in—allowing men to compete against women simply because they "identify" as women is flat-out stupid and brutally unfair to women athletes. And this idea of "transitioning"? Gimme a break. And let the buzzwords fly—I've been called every one in the book and they bounce off me like BBs off a battleship.
In mid-October, a Fox News segment called the Faulkner Focus had Trump on as a guest, and female host Harris Faulkner brought up the issue of transgender men playing women's sports. A woman in the audience asked Trump what he would do in regard to this controversial issue, and Trump responded by saying it was an easy question—and that every one of them already knew the answer. And that answer triggered a thundering roar of cheers from the audience:
"You just ban it. The president bans it. You just don't let it happen."
(Pardon me while I savor the waft of fresh air that just breezed through...)
But as I said, Trump will not be alone. And if some of his cabinet picks are any indication, he's gonna have plenty of help.
Just to give you a little taste of the type of cabinet Trump is seeking to put together, here are several of his cabinet picks that caught my eye (see this for a more complete rundown):
Border Czar: Tom Homan
This guy had me with one sentence. Tom Homan, head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during Trump's first term, spoke at the Republican National Convention in July. That "one sentence" was directed at the millions of illegal immigrants who have flooded across our border over the last four years while "blunder czar" Kamala Harris cackled and looked the other way—and it's simple, direct, and immediately went viral:
"You better start packing now because you're going home."
Somebody please tell Kamala-la-la that's what a border czar sounds like.
Secretary of State: Marco Rubio
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is Trump's nominee for Secretary of State. Rubio agrees with Trump that Russia's war with Ukraine needs to be brought to an end, and Trump and Rubio are expected to push Ukraine to reach a settlement with Russia that includes Ukraine's agreement to not seek to become a member of NATO. Ukraine's interest in joining NATO was a key element of what got the conflict started in the first place:
Vladimir Putin wasn't about to stand idly by and watch Ukraine's border with Russia become lined with missiles, which many believe is exactly what would have happened if Ukraine had succeeded in joining NATO.
Not sure about you, but I think that sounds a lot better than showering Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy with tens of billions of dollars every few months in return for a few muscle-shirt photo ops (and the continued concealment of a few shady American business interests).
DOGE: Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is part of Trump's plan to root out and greatly reduce the huge amounts of wasteful (and ever increasing) spending and inefficiency that abound within the United States government.
Trump actually wanted to do a lot more to reduce government waste and inefficiency during his first term, but was unable to get it done by himself. So, hopefully these two wealthy, extremely capable entrepreneurs can step in and make some progress. Of course, their confirmation by the Senate is very much open to question.
On a more positive note, however, their plans include eliminating the Department of Education, the FBI, and the IRS.
(Picture me and a bunch of kids cheering and pumping our fists.)
Ambassador to Israel: Mike Huckabee
Although not a cabinet position per se, Trump's pick for ambassador to Israel is former Baptist preacher and television host Mike Huckabee. He has long been a staunch supporter of Israel, and is the first non-Jewish ambassador to Israel we've had since James Cunningham, who served from 2008 to 2011.
Not surprisingly, Huckabee has received criticism for saying things that go against the official narrative in regard to Israel, including things like...
"There is no such thing as the West Bank—it's Judea and Samaria. There is no such thing as settlements—they're communities... There is no such thing as an occupation."
"There is no such thing as a Palestinian... That's been a political tool to try and force land away from Israel."
And he's right on every point. Huckabee has always been against a two-state solution, astutely pointing out that it is "irrational and unworkable," and suggesting that the Palestinians could readily find land for a state outside the boundaries of Israel:
"If there's a two-state solution, the Palestinians state needs to be outside the boundaries of the nation of Israel. There's plenty of land in the world where we can find a place and say, 'Okay, let's create a Palestinian state.' But not within the confines of a secure Israel."
Create a state outside of Israel? Of course they could...but you see, the problem is that the goal of these Jew-hating jackals is not to just have a state—it is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. If you don't believe me, take a gander at the Palestinian National Charter. It's only four pages long, and it tells you everything you need to know about the Palestinians and their goals.
And their goal has never been a two-state solution with two independent states peacefully coexisting side by side. Their goal is one state, and no prizes for guessing whose state that would be.
Trump has generally supported a two-state solution, but at times has expressed doubts about it ever being successfully implemented. As for Huckabee, however, from what I have read it seems that if Trump ends up getting behind the two-state solution (as I suspect he will), an Ambassador Huckabee would be willing to do his part and get on board.
Secretary of Defense: Pete Hegseth
Trump's pick for Secretary of Defense is a Fox News co-host and a veteran of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was a strong supporter of Trump and his "America First" agenda during his first term, and that hasn't changed one bit.
According to Hegseth:
"Conservative ideas have worked, do work and will continue to work. The list is long: A strong military is absolutely essential to bringing long-term peace and stability to the world."
Trump recently said of Hegseth:
"Pete is tough, smart and a true believer in America First. With Pete at the helm, America's enemies are on notice—our military will be great again, and America will never back down."
By the way, Hegseth is a born-again believer. And if he gets the job, one of the first things he will do is put all the woke military leaders on notice, because they have done nothing but damage and weaken the American Armed Forces by doing their utmost to infect our fighting men and women with trendy woke gender fantasies and delusions.
If America is going to be strong enough for our friends to trust us and our enemies to fear us, the woke garbage in our military has to stop. Period.
But it's the same deal: His Senate confirmation is no gimme.
Although (to his credit) Hegseth doesn't support a two-state solution, one thing about him that should have the full attention of every believer is the fact that he supports the idea of building the Third Temple (and has publicly stated as much), and that he expects America will support Israel in that effort:
"As you stand there, you can't help but behold the miracle before you...It got me thinking about another miracle that I hope all of you don't see too far away. 1917 was a miracle, 1948 was a miracle, 1967 was a miracle, 2017, the Declaration of Jerusalem as the capital, was a miracle, and there's no reason why the miracle of the re-establishment of the Temple on the Temple Mount is not possible. I don't know how it would happen, you don't know how it would happen, but I know that it could happen...I would submit to you in light of the support you have in Washington DC, the support you have amongst patriotic Americans, amongst Evangelical Christians, amongst Believers, amongst Republicans, and even amongst some Democrats who can barely say it anymore in Washington, buy the ticket, take your action, do what needs to be done here in Israel because I truly believe this is a moment where America will have your back."
This should make every prophetically knowledgeable believer on the planet stand up and shout. Israeli officials don't dare bring up the subject of building the Third Temple on the Temple Mount when speaking with other Middle Eastern leaders for fear they will have an apoplectic fit. So, for even the potential United States Secretary of Defense to publicly say such a thing has stunning prophetic implications, as we shall see.
The t-word
The dream of rebuilding the temple has long burned in the hearts of millions of Jewish people, but for the last two thousand years it has seemed like the impossible dream. And with Al-Aqsa mosque and the third holiest site in Islam in the form of the Dome of the Rock located on the same Temple Mount where Israel's First and Second Temples stood—not to mention the fact that the Temple Mount has been under the authority of the Muslim Waqf ever since the conclusion of the Six Day War in 1967—that impossible dream appears even more impossible than ever before.
As a result, any talk of Israel rebuilding their temple typically comes across as either unspeakable blasphemy or an unspoken fantasy.
It's the t-word.
At present, any attempt by Israel to so much as lift a finger toward building a temple on the Temple Mount (or doing anything for that matter) would immediately spark international outrage and condemnation, as well as the frantic deployment of military forces from the surrounding Muslim countries. This is what makes Hegseth's optimism about the possibility of building the Third Temple (scripturally informed as it may be) so flabbergasting.
But just remember one thing:
There absolutely will be a Third Temple completed and in use on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem by the midpoint of the Tribulation.
Apoplectic fits or no. And it doesn't depend on what Israel does or doesn't do. It doesn't depend on what America does or doesn't do. It doesn't depend on what Trump does or doesn't do. And it doesn't depend on the optimistic sentiments of a man who has been chosen to be America's next Secretary of Defense. It only depends on the will of a holy God who tells us in His Word that there will be a temple during the Tribulation:
27He will make a firm covenant with many [some translations read "the many"] for one week. [This is the seven-year treaty confirmed by the Antichrist between Israel (which Daniel refers to as "the many" several times) and the surrounding Islamic countries, and its confirmation launches the Tribulation.] In the middle of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. [Well, if they cease, that means they started, and they can only be carried out in a T-E-M-P-L-E.] On the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate; and even to the decreed full end, wrath will be poured out on the desolate. [This is the abomination of desolation, when the Antichrist enters the T-E-M-P-L-E at the midpoint of the Tribulation and sets up a profane image in the Holy of Holies...which is in the T-E-M-P-L-E.]
(Daniel 9:27 / emphasis & [comments] added)
Matthew refers to the abomination of desolation in his version of the Olivet Discourse, and it is an event that essentially marks the beginning of the Antichrist's 42-month kingdom:
15When, therefore, you see the abomination of desolation, which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. [And again, that "holy place" is in the T-E-M-P-L-E.]
(Matthew 24:15–16 / emphasis & [comments] added)
Mark also mentions the abomination of desolation in his version of the same discourse (Mark 13:14–15).
So Pete Hegseth's controversial comments concerning the rebuilding of the temple may well be God's way of giving us a preview of coming attractions.
And that attraction is coming—you have God's Word on it.
And when the time comes, Trump will no doubt back Israel 100 percent.
The other t-word
The temple isn't the only t-word Trump's new administration may have some impact on, however. There is also the issue of the two-state solution.
Although it has in the past, Israel currently does not support dividing their land into one independent state for the Palestinians and one for Israel. And the basic reason for that is obvious to anyone who understands the true nature of the relationship between Israel and the Palestinians:
Palestinian terrorists (i.e. Hamas and Hezbollah) have demonstrated to the world that nothing short of wiping out the Jewish state will satisfy them.
As I keep emphasizing: The Palestinians do not want a two-state solution!
They want it all and they
won't stop until they get it.
And Israeli leaders (the good ones, at least) know this better than anyone.
Yet the great majority of countries around the world persist in naively assuming the two-state solution is the only solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem, and the reason is simple:
They are either ignorant of or simply dismiss the fact that these terrorists are demonically oppressed and have been indoctrinated to hate and seek to kill Jews and destroy Israel, even to the point of deliberately placing their own people in harm's way.
Hide missile launchers near a school? No problem. Store ammunition under a hospital? Piece of cake. Steal all the aid sent to the Palestinian civilian population by well-intentioned groups? Hey, Allahu Akbar and all that.
Yet in the arena of global politics, the two-state solution continues to be viewed by most countries as an agreement that absolutely must be hammered out if we ever want to bring peace to the Middle East.
Bad idea: A person has to be seriously misled or just uninformed about the realities of the Palestinians' goals, intentions, and true feelings about Israel and the Jewish people to honestly support a two-state solution (and as much as I support him, that includes Trump). The whole idea is a ruse based on lies and deceit, is intended as a step towards ultimately wiping Israel off the map, and is literally the worst mistake Israel will ever make—a mistake that will plunge them into God's final round of judgment.
How can I make such a statement? Easy: In terms of prophecy, Scripture makes it completely clear there absolutely will be a two-state solution that will divide Israel (regardless of who does or doesn't support it), and I believe it is exactly what the prophet Joel is referring to:
2I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; [This refers to the judgment God will pour out on the nations during the Great Tribulation...] and I will execute judgment on them there for my people, and for my heritage, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations. [...and that's the reason for that judgment.] They have divided my land, [And this refers to Israel's foolish attempt at making peace with their enemies by dividing the land God gave them as an eternal inheritance, rather than depending on the God who fights for them.]
3and have cast lots for my people, and have given a boy for a prostitute, and sold a girl for wine, that they may drink. [Incidentally, this verse isn't necessarily a figure of speech—it can be taken literally. Back in those days, people taken captive as a result of a conquest were frequently treated like chattel, and their captors actually did things like this.]
(Joel 3:2–3 / emphasis & [comments] added)
Verse 2 is clearly a prophetic reference to what God will do to the nations of the world that have rejected His grace and mercy and persecuted His people Israel, and that certainly includes the Muslim nations surrounding Israel today. Israel will divide the land God gave them in exchange for a flimsy false peace, and I think it is clear this is part of the treaty of Daniel 9:27, the confirmation of which launches the Tribulation. Notice God says "They have divided my land." Not their land. It's God's land, and He lovingly designated it as an eternal inheritance for His people Israel.
I've written about this before, but when Israel foolishly divides the land He gave them with their sworn enemies for a false peace instead of depending on Him to fight for them and protect them (as He will have just finished doing in Gog-Magog), it's the last straw for the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
And so He prepares to unleash the judgments of the Tribulation to purge His people and judge the nations of the world who have persecuted them.
This means you can safely ignore people who claim there will never be a two-state solution, because God's Word is clear.
Now, as I said, potential Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth (wisely) doesn't support a two-state solution, while Trump has generally been amenable to it—although he has expressed skepticism about it ever becoming a reality. But the fact is that international pressure for a two-state solution is rapidly gaining more momentum than ever.
In September of this year, Saudi Arabia formed a group called the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution. Originally, the main backers of this alliance were Saudi Arabia, Norway, the EU, and the Arab League, but reportedly there is burgeoning interest among the international community in jumping on this particular bandwagon.
The key point is that the growing consensus around the world is that in order for Israel to achieve peace and be fully welcomed and accepted by the international community, they have no choice but to accommodate the poor, oppressed Palestinians with their very own independent state.
Given the growing momentum of this alliance, it's certainly not difficult to envision Israeli leaders ultimately beginning to acquiesce...and as they do, it's quite natural to see a President Trump and a Secretary of Defense Hegseth being willing to get behind it as well.
And the reason it's quite natural to see it that way is because these events connect the dots of Bible prophecy.
Trump 1.5?
Something I want to touch on before I bring this in for a landing is the question of whether or not Trump will actually serve a full four-year term, plus a couple of other hypothetical scenarios that could conceivably play out. Up to this point, everything I have said basically assumes he will serve a full term.
But will he?
The left seeks to
make his second term
crash and burn as
quickly as possible,
or prevent it from
even getting started.
I certainly don't have to tell you that the left virulently hates Trump and is vehemently opposed to every single thing he wants to do—and as we speak they are frantically taking every conceivable measure to ensure that he fails at every single thing he wants to do. The left seeks to make his second term crash and burn as quickly as possible, or prevent it from even getting started. And if it means plunging the planet into World War 3, so be it.
Speaking of preventing it from even getting started, let's back up for a moment. If you have read very many of my articles, you know that I have stated on several occasions that I was convinced Trump would never be president again. But the reason I felt that way had nothing to do with Trump's popularity or the lack thereof:
I confidently assumed the Democrats would steal this election in much the same way they did four years ago.
For Pete's sake, why wouldn't they?! They were extremely well prepared to execute a number of different types of fraud in 2020. After all, they had four years to prepare for the 2020 election, and they pulled it off with very few hitches. I gotta give credit where credit is due—they did an absolutely terrific job. And with the aid of various government agencies along with the mainstream media, they got away with it scot free in spite of the fact that reams of damning evidence have been uncovered and documented.
What?! Us cheat?! I've heard some people claim the fact that the Democrats apparently didn't cheat in 2024 proves that the claims they did cheat in 2020 are nothing but debunked right-wing conspiracy theories. But the only people who buy that are uniformed people who place a bit too much trust in the mainstream media and who simply haven't done their homework.
Anyone who dared to so much as acknowledge the existence of that evidence has been attacked, persecuted, prosecuted, sued, defamed, and buried in a deluge of left-wing buzzwords until they gave up and shut up (or went to prison). They're election deniers. Right-wing conspiracy theorists. MAGA extremists who are a threat to democracy and who must be silenced.
Two can play at that game: It always leaves me stunned when I hear someone agree with CNN's baseless claims that all the allegations of fraud in the 2020 election are baseless, and actually believes that a clearly senile candidate who holed up in his basement instead of doing any real campaigning while his opponent was holding one rock concert of a campaign event after another actually received 81.3 million votes. To put this in what should be a disturbing perspective, note that this is far and away the most votes ever received by any candidate in American history. (The 2024 vote totals are still being tabulated, but Barack Obama is currently in second place with 69.5 million in 2008.) Well, I have my own pet pejorative term for such a person:
"Fraud denier!"
At least that's the most polite one. In other words:
I'm not surprised Trump won—
I'm surprised the Dems didn't cheat!
A real conspiracy theory? By the way, and I almost hate to bring it up, but I've heard rumors to the effect that the Democrats actually had some type of sophisticated electronic means of changing/stealing votes in place shortly before November 5, but that it was discovered by someone just before the election. (And I can't go into detail because I don't know any of the details...it may very well be a real conspiracy theory.) The suggestion is that the Democrats were all set for a repeat of 2020, but unfortunately their scheme got uncovered at the last minute and so they reluctantly decided not to pull the trigger. But let me emphasize that this is only a rumor I caught wind of, and that I can in no way confirm such a thing. So, I'm more than willing to just let this one lie because it doesn't much matter at this point. However, if it were true, it would explain a lot.
So now that Trump has won the election, will he finish his full term? Honestly, I have my doubts. The left is just too maniacally consumed with hatred for him and are too desperate to either prevent or destroy his second term. So, here are several scenarios that could possibly play out in the near future.
• Happy Valentine's Day! Welcome to World War 3.
Immediately after Trump won the election, the Biden administration wasted no time in giving Ukraine permission to use American long-range missiles in their war with Russia—and Ukraine wasted no time in using them. Now, for anyone who has any desire whatsoever to end this conflict (which does not include the Democrats), this is mystifyingly reckless and could easily lead to a serious escalation in this war. This could lead to Russia using nuclear weapons, which could lead to God only knows what.
In other words, I hate to sound like a nervous Nellie, but this has the potential to morph into a World War 3 scenario.
The obvious question is why in heaven's name would the Democrats do something so dangerously irresponsible? What were they thinking?! What are they trying to do, start World War 3 by Valentine's Day?!
There is only one answer to that question, and everyone knows it:
The Democrats want to saddle Trump with the biggest mess they can possibly create so when it blows up, he will look weak and they can rip him to shreds out of sheer spite (and hide their crimes while they're at it).
(I wonder if that's the "joy" Tim Walz talked about during the campaign...)
• Third time's a charm.
Of course, Trump's second term may not even last long enough for what I just described. In fact, it may not even begin. They tried to kill him twice during the campaign, but failed. Well, like they say:
Third time's a charm.
If they do want to assassinate him, however, it would be more expedient to do it before he takes office on January 20. If they did succeed in killing Trump prior to his taking office, Vance would ostensibly become the president-elect. Interestingly enough, however, there are procedural subtleties to this process that could conceivably be open to manipulation. According to Ballotpedia:
The Twentieth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution governs what happens if the president-elect dies before taking office. In that case, the vice president-elect [i.e. J.D. Vance] becomes the president-elect. It is an open legal question whether a candidate becomes the president-elect after winning a majority of the vote in the Electoral College or only after Congress counts the vote. [Although the details are a wee bit hazy, it sounds as if there might be a potential opportunity to manipulate the system and stop Vance from becoming president as well, assuming they were able to take out Trump before January 20.] The Electoral College is scheduled to vote on December 17, 2024, and Congress is scheduled to count the vote on January 6, 2025.
(emphasis & [comments] added)
— Ballotpedia [Source]
Sorry for sounding paranoid—I'm just trying to cover all the bases.
• Wow! Where did those come from?!
One admittedly remote possibility that occurred to me has to do with the counting of votes. Since at the time of this writing vote totals for the 2024 election are still being tabulated, they could suddenly "discover" three or four million votes for Kamala Harris hidden under a rock (or in a van) somewhere and declare her the "real" winner. (I wish I could say I was joking, but if there was any conceivable way the Democrats could get away with it...)
• The twinkling of an eye.
Finally, there is a possibility that would be just fine and dandy with every born-again believer on the planet: The Rapture could occur at any point during any of the above scenarios. The day we get changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, America will be plunged into chaos from which it will not recover until we get into the Millennial Kingdom. Believe me...
The Rapture will do far more
damage to this country than the
Democrats could ever imagine.
What, you think evil is out of control now? Well, I've got a news flash for you: Satan is still being restrained by the presence of the temple of the Holy Spirit on earth—and that's us. After the Rapture Satan will be unrestrained, and it won't be long until the players of Gog-Magog gather to annihilate Israel. But as a result of God's devastating intervention, Israel will be empowered and her enemies will be weakened—and it is in this milieu that the world-changing treaty of Daniel 9:27 between Israel and its enemies will be forged.
I'm convinced this treaty will give the Palestinians their state and Israel the green light to build the Third Temple on the Temple Mount, and then the world will proceed into the throes of the judgments of the Tribulation without a great deal of concern for what was once the most powerful nation on earth. If Ezekiel 38:13 is anything to go by, America will probably still be licking its wounds from the judgment that prevented it from coming to Israel's aid in Gog-Magog, and it will probably be doing so for the duration of Daniel's 70th Week.
What I didn't say: Notice what I didn't say: I didn't mention the possibility that Trump will serve his entire four-year term and succeed in cleaning up the mess left by the Biden administration, and make great strides toward genuinely making America great again. As much as many people's flesh aches for that, I believe God's Word tells us something different. I've written about this before, but I believe the fact that Ezekiel 38:13 tells us that America doesn't lift a finger to defend Israel from the attack of Gog-Magog means (a) it's unlikely that Trump is still in the White House at the time, and (b) it's likely that God's judgment on our country has already begun, presumably triggered by the Rapture—which I am convinced precedes Gog-Magog. God just has a thing for poetic justice, and I am hard-pressed to imagine anything more poetic. But the point is that I just don't see how this "Make America Great Again" idea, as heartening as it sounds, fits neatly and scripturally into this scenario—as much as many people would like it to (including yours truly).
Just a few hors-d'œuvres for thought. Of course, what actually happens will likely end up surprising me as much as anyone (as did Trump's victory).
Make my day!
My sister is among those who had Trump signs in their yards only to have them stolen or vandalized by Trump-hating twerps in the run-up to the election, and she jokingly admitted to me that she wondered what it would be like if Jesus ran for president (or President of presidents, or whatever). I can just see it:
She mused that if anyone tried to tear down Jesus' signs or banners, the instant they touched them they would suffer the same fate as Uzzah did when he touched the ark of the covenant in direct violation of God's command:
6And when they came to Nachon's threshing floor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. [First of all, God had commanded them to carry the ark on the shoulders of men, not let it be pulled in a cart by an ox!] 7And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God. [And Uzzah got royally zapped for violating God's command.]
(2 Samuel 6:6–7 AKJV / emphasis & [comments] added)
And I know what she was thinking: If it was like that with her signs and she spotted a kid approaching one of them, she'd be channeling Clint Eastwood:
"Go ahead...make my day!"
