The Window
The entire world has been buzzing about Joe Biden's poorly planned and chaotically executed withdrawal from Afghanistan and its disastrous aftermath that has left the mighty United States humiliated and looking at best weak and inept...and I'd just as soon not mention the "at worst" part.
At 11:59 p.m. Kabul time on August 30, the last U.S. military plane departed from Hamid Karzai International Airport. Besides ignoring sound advice from military advisers, one mistake Biden made was naively failing to anticipate that the Taliban would advance as rapidly as they did. Biden believed he could meet his August 31 deadline for a complete pullout, but he greatly underestimated both the fighting ability and fierce resolve of the Taliban and the lack thereof of the U.S.-trained government troops tasked with stopping them.
On August 15, Taliban leaders were photographed sitting in the Afghan president's office—minus one conspicuously absent Afghan president, who had hightailed it to the UAE in a helicopter literally stuffed with a reported $150–$170 million in cash. To Biden's horror, time was up and his pants were down—the takeover was complete and his helter-skelter withdrawal abandoned at least hundreds and possibly a couple of thousand innocent civilians, including American citizens and Afghans who had been friendly toward and cooperative with the United States in their effort to keep the Taliban at bay—and who will be brutally executed by the Taliban if and when they are found.
Oh, and did I mention the estimated $85 billion worth of U.S. military hardware of every description that is now in the hands of these terrorists? It has been reported only half-jokingly that the Taliban is now one of the best-equipped Arab armies in the Middle East.
With Islamic terrorists who are bent on the destruction of the nation of Israel suddenly in control of a key Arab nation like Afghanistan, students of Bible prophecy have been burning the midnight oil attempting to sort out the eschatological implications of this takeover, and this article represents my two shekels on what I believe this stunning turn of events portends in terms of rapidly approaching end-time events such as the Rapture, the Tribulation, and the battle of Ezekiel 38–39.
Not necessarily in that order.
A quick review
In late November of 2020, I posted an article entitled "A Lion That Roars," and at the time we were just beginning to become embroiled in the controversy over the 2020 election and the fraud that indelibly marred it.
In that article, I discuss the battle of Ezekiel 38–39, and mention that in Ezekiel 38:13 we see the "merchants of Tarshish, and all the young lions thereof" standing idly by and squeaking in futility at the attack descending upon Israel. I argue that these "young lions" unquestionably include the United States, who does nothing but protest meekly in the face of this existential threat to Israel. I document the fact that President Trump is easily one of the strongest supporters of Israel who has ever graced the Oval Office, and conclude that Ezekiel's prophecy simply cannot be fulfilled with Trump in the White House because he proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that he would go down swinging to protect America's staunchest ally in the Middle East.
Swinging—not squeaking.
But with Trump out of the White House, all bets are off. In that article, I briefly sketch out three possible scenarios:
1. The fraud stands, and Biden remains president.
2. The fraud is exposed, and Trump is reinstated for a second term.
3. Trump begins a second term, but the Rapture occurs before he finishes it.
Scenario #2 essentially puts Ezekiel 38–39 on hold for four more years under Trump, and scenario #3 is almost tongue-in-cheek—a walk on the wild side. I made it clear in that article that I thought scenario #1 was the most likely of the three—and it turns out that I was pretty much right.
Watching the Biden administration over the past year has been like watching a slow-motion video of a train wreck. With a placeholder president who is unable to complete an intelligible sentence without the aid of cue cards he often can't even read correctly, it should be obvious to any thinking person that we have a cabal of Deep State liberals calling the shots behind the scenes with Joe Biden as Puppet-in-Chief—a cabal that includes the likes of Barack Obama, Susan Rice, and a few other like-minded individuals who seek to bring America tumbling down from its superpower status so that the global government they dream of can finally be ushered in.
What we have seen so far in regard to scenario #1 is the Biden administration continue its prodigious bungling while Trump remains a political force to be reckoned with. Contrary to the wishful thinking of the left, Trump has retained the bulk of his loyal base and continues to not-so-subtly hint at a presidential run in 2024—a run that, from all indications, he would win by an even larger margin than he actually won in 2020.
Of course, this doesn't take into account the fact that the same types of fraud that manufactured a 7-million-vote "loss" for Trump in 2020 could theoretically do the same in the 2024 election just as easily, barring election reforms that the Democrats are screaming constitute voter suppression:
"The thousands of voters represented by this crate of mail-in ballots that were never mailed have the right to have their voices heard!"
Sigh. Don't even get me started.
If it ain't broke: I hate to say this, but the mantra of the Democrats up to this point should be "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." A flood of damning revelations that have simply been denied or ignored by the media and a forensic audit that has thus far been hijacked and derailed by Democrats notwithstanding, let's face it: It's been almost a year, and so far the Democrats have basically gotten away scot-free with the outright theft of the 2020 election. In spite of that, however, I remain convinced that sooner or later, one way or another, the fraud will be exposed and Trump will be vindicated, which I see as a clear application of Genesis 12:3, which says:
3And I will bless them that bless you, and curse him that curses you...
(Genesis 12:3a AKJV)
Not reinstated, mind you—just vindicated. I argue in scenario #1 that if Biden remains as president, we are looking at a clear, unimpeded path to the battle of Ezekiel 38–39 and the launching of the Tribulation, events which I believe occur relatively close together timewise and that would never occur with Trump as president. It is for this reason that I also judged scenario #1 to be the one that should excite believers the most, since it translates to...
RAPTURE: DEAD AHEAD!
(And we'll be circling back for that one.) But one thing I didn't give much thought to was how clear or easily traversed that path might be. There was really no way I could gaze into my crystal ball on that one, since when I wrote that article in November 2020, Biden hadn't even taken office yet.
At the time, no one could have imagined what a disaster Biden's presidency would be, or how rapidly it would cause America to lose the trust and respect of our allies and the fear and dread of our enemies.
Anyone with a lick of sense knew a weak Biden would weaken America—but how quickly and how badly was known only to an omniscient God.
But on August 30, 2021, that omniscient God
showed us everything we needed to know.
Black flags à gogo
Most Americans know and understand that thanks in large part to the bungling of the Biden administration, the United States has been humiliated by a gang of Islamic terrorists and that Afghanistan, a country that had been making great strides toward becoming a free, open, and relatively modern society under their democratic (albeit corrupt) government, is being thrown back into the dark, brutal abyss of eighth-century Islamic dogma.
There is something going on in Afghanistan, however, that most Americans do not know or understand, and it is the fact that the Taliban and their supporters are making much of Islamic "prophecies" taken from the Hadith that they are applying to themselves and their recent feats of derring-do.
The Hadith is a collection of thoughts and sayings attributed to Muhammed that is separate and distinct from the Qur'an, and there are several verses that have been taken from different parts of the Hadith and pasted together into a passage known to every Islamic radical as the Hadith of Khorasan. This passage has been used as a rallying cry for every Islamic jihadist group that has come along in the past dozen centuries or so, including modern groups such as Al Qaeda, ISIS, the Taliban, and scores of affiliated groups. But it is once again being shouted from the rooftops throughout the Middle East by Muslims who are sympathetic to the Taliban and their cause.
Versions of the Hadith of Khorasan vary, but it is often presented in English roughly along the following lines:
If you see an army carrying black flags coming from Khorasan, join them—give them your allegiance even if you have to crawl over ice and snow, for this is the army of the Mahdi and no one can stop that army until it reaches Jerusalem.
— The Hadith of Khorasan, based on several verses
taken from the Hadith, including the following:
Jami al-Tirmidhi 2269 [Source]
Sunan Ibn Majah 4084 [Source]
Now, you may be wondering what this reference to "Khorasan" is all about. As it turns out, that's a key piece of the puzzle.
Khorasan (or Khurasan) is a region whose name means "the land where the sun rises" and that encompasses an area typically shown to include most (if not all) of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, the northwestern part of Pakistan, and the eastern parts of Turkmenistan and Iran. But Afghanistan is the heart of it.
Khorasan is mentioned a number of times in the Hadith, often in connection with this mysterious army carrying black flags who marches relentlessly all the way from Khorasan to Jerusalem, where they plant the Islamic flag on the Temple Mount and usher in their future leader, the Mahdi.
As a result of the Hadith of Khorasan, almost every Islamic jihadist group that has come along since the eighth century has made it a point to carry black flags, hoping to convince other Muslims (and themselves) that they are in fact that "army carrying black flags" that Muhammed allegedly spoke of—the army that is destined to be the army of the Mahdi, or the Islamic messiah they believe will one day rule the entire world after converting the world's population to Islam (and killing all who refuse to be so converted).
And this might be a topic for another time, but what Muslims believe about the Mahdi is remarkably similar to what biblically knowledgeable Christians believe about the Antichrist. It fits in a number of ways.
So in a sense, what is happening in Afghanistan today is nothing new:
"Ooooh...yet another gaggle of Islamic radicals carrying black flags! And I suppose they think they're the army of Khorasan. Right."
Al Qaeda no doubt fancies they are the army of Khorasan. Ditto for ISIS, as well as ISIS-K (and you'll never guess what the "K" stands for). After humiliating the Great Satan, the Taliban is convinced they are the army of Khorasan, etc., etc., etc. What, you thought it was just a strange coincidence that every Islamic terrorist group carries black flags?
Be that as it may, however, it's not the same this time. It's not the same old black-flag mania that has possessed every jihadist group since the eighth century. What's gaining traction in Afghanistan as we speak is not just another case of some radical Islamic group grabbing the Hadith of Khorasan and applying it to themselves to gain publicity and attract followers.
Something is different this time around.
The Not-So-Great Satan
In modern times, every Islamic terrorist group in the world has had to face one simple, undeniable fact, and that fact has kept them from accomplishing their goal of destroying Israel and taking over their land:
The Great Satan really is pretty great.
The Great Satan—yep, that's us. Every Islamic jihadist group to date has had to face the unpleasant reality that they were up against the United States of America—a nuclear-armed superpower who was willing and able to flex their considerable might to arm and defend their ally Israel (the Little Satan). This was especially true under Trump, who supported Israel like few presidents have since Israel's rebirth in 1948.
But on the evening of November 3, 2020, millions of Americans went to bed after the vote-counting was inexplicably halted in several key states with Trump clearly heading for re-election. When they awoke the next morning, however, they were met with the shocking news that Biden had somehow staged a miraculous last-minute comeback to take a slim lead in several key swing states, and little did they know that a tectonic shift in America's future was just beginning to get underway.
That tectonic shift came in the form of massive voter fraud that was in the process of stealing the election from Trump and handing it to a life-sized cardboard cutout with a "D" next to its name on the ballot.
And that life-sized cardboard cutout's name was Joe Biden.
In spite of the tireless and ongoing efforts of legions of patriots, the fraud still stands nearly a year later. So in place of a strong president who was leading a strong nation and who strongly supported Israel, we got a weak, senile bumbler who is capable of neither expressing a cogent thought nor making a decision more challenging than what flavor of ice cream to order, and who pretends to be president while Deep State actors call the shots behind the scenes and are more than happy for the shame and blame for those crippling decisions to fall on their Whipping-Boy-in-Chief.
Then those actors helped orchestrate a national humiliation that made the Fall of Saigon look like the Battle of Iwo Jima, and which served to empower and embolden the Islamic jihadists they ideologically support.
Islamic terrorists came face to face with the Great Satan, and for the first time ever the Great Satan turned tail and ran.
Islamic terrorists won the day, took over a major Arab nation, and the Great Satan limped home to lick his wounds, tell the media the operation was an "extraordinary success," and go on vacation. The point is clear:
In the eyes of every Islamic terrorist group on earth,
the Great Satan has become the Not-So-Great Satan,
and the Little Satan is looking deliciously vulnerable.
More so with each passing day. The Islamic terrorists are toasting their victory and gaining unprecedented numbers of followers, and they are consolidating with other like-minded groups and planning to go all the way. In their eyes, Allah has clearly led them to a stunning victory over the Great Satan—and for radical Muslims, that can only mean one thing:
Allah is finally opening the door and paving the way for
for them to send the Great Satan packing, wipe out the
Little Satan, and usher in the Mahdi. Now is the time!
That's what's different this time around.
Strike while the iron is hot
In the minds of every Islamic terrorist group, Allah has finally seen fit to bless their efforts by allowing them to scare off the Great Satan, and this is a clear, definitive sign to them that the great day is finally approaching when they will march all the way to Jerusalem, plant the flag of Islam on the Temple Mount, wipe Israel off the map, and usher in their beloved Mahdi.
This is it! Allah hu Akbar and all that!
Of course, even Muslim terrorists watch the news. Even Islamic jihadists read the newspaper once in a while. These guys may be deluded by Islamic dogma, but that doesn't mean they are stupid or uninformed.
And I guarantee you they haven't forgotten Donald J. Trump.
They are no doubt aware of many of the political machinations that are occurring in the United States, and they understand that things could change radically when it comes time for the next U.S. presidential election in 2024.
They are certainly aware of the fact that Trump is considering running for president in 2024 (which he probably will), and they are smart enough to know he could win (which, if he runs, he absolutely will...at least in terms of real votes). And they are smart enough to know what that means for their big plans to wipe Israel off the map:
Strike while the iron is hot.
Now, I am aware that many things could happen in the next three years. Trump may run, he may not—some other Republican candidate might come to the fore. Or the Democrats could steal the 2024 election for Biden or someone to take his place, and we could have a repeat of the disaster of 2020 that prolongs the downward spiral that has this country in a death grip.
No one knows...but that's not the point. The point is that as we speak, the Islamic jihadists are champing at the bit and coming together and getting increasingly organized in the belief that they have literally been given Allah's blessing to march against Israel in an attack that sure rhymes with Ezekiel 38–39 in my humble opinion.
And speaking of Ezekiel 38–39: Do you suppose a non-Muslim country like Russia, who will lead these Islamic nations against Israel according to Ezekiel, is paying attention to all this? Oh, you can bet your bottom barrel of crude they are. They, too, see Amerika coming apart at the seams under a weak and incompetent president, and I guarantee you that nothing I have said in this article is lost on them.
Afghaniwho? Speaking of Ezekiel 38–39... The nation of Afghanistan is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible—or perhaps I should say the Pashtuns, the ancient name of the people who settled in that region. But the Pashtuns are ethnically related to the ancient Persians (Iranians), with the name "Afghan" not appearing until the third century AD. I don't want to be dogmatic about it because I'm certainly not an expert in this area; but based on what I learned in preparing to write this article, it doesn't seem like an extremely big biblical stretch to include the modern-day Afghans under the banner of the Persians in Ezekiel's prophecy. And hey, if not, then just put 'em down as part of the "many peoples with you" (Ezek. 38:6).
Both Russia and the Islamic groups they will lead in the battle of Gog-Magog understand that America could hypothetically be led once again by Donald "Make the Not-So-Great Satan Great Again" Trump in a little over three years. Whether that actually happens or not is irrelevant—what matters is the simple fact that they understand this is a distinct possibility they have no choice but to take into consideration. In other words...
The players of Gog-Magog are looking
at a window of opportunity to pull off
their big plans that opened in 2021.
A window...that's what they see when they look at the current administration in Washington. Of course, by the time the next presidential election rolls around in about three years, America may have fallen so far that it will be clear that nobody can Make America Great Again...not even Trump, assuming he's still a variable in the equation. Rather than potentially closing in 2024, that window could remain open indefinitely. No one can say for certain.
Nobody saw that coming: Of course, I'm not naive about making a speculative projection like this. I could turn out to be just as wrong as anyone else who has ever made such a projection about the Rapture or any other end-time event, and the reason is simple—and it's something that will keep us humble if we bear it in mind:
The accuracy of our human speculation depends on
future events that we can't see coming—only God can.
The best of our efforts are always subject to the fact that we can't see what the future holds. But that's OK, because we know who holds the future.
As it stands today, however, with Donald Trump still very much a factor to be considered, the players of Ezekiel 38–39 are working with a window of just over three years.
And three years is more than enough time to do the deed.
Oooh...it's an Islamic "prophecy"!
Since we're on the subject of the role of Islamic terrorist groups in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy, there is one thing that I see over and over again in the writings of certain Christian authors who write about end-time events that compels me to drag out my soapbox.
There are well-known Christian authors who write books about various aspects of the end-time scenario, and who make much of so-called "prophecies" from sources such as the Hadith, the Qur'an, and any number of other extra-biblical sources. They marvel and rave about how Islamic "prophecies" line up so amazingly well with the Bible. Wow! Incredible!
In some cases, they may quietly slap a disclaimer somewhere in their book to remind people that these "prophecies" are not on par with Scripture. Some do, some don't—but it really doesn't matter.
The problem is that as you read their books, that little fact tends to get overlooked and slip unnoticed into the background, and they seem unable to resist the temptation to lump such extra-biblical "prophecies" into the same arena as those found in the Bible, and speak of them with the same tone and tenor as they speak of prophecies given in the inerrant, prophetically confirmed Word of the living God. And if any of those Islamic "prophecies" differ at all from what the Bible says, it's liable to be regarded as stunning new insight into what the Bible is really telling us!
After all, they're p-r-o-p-h-e-c-i-e-s!
There's little point in naming names, but I'll bet most of you can think of at least one or two such authors. And I don't mean to sound cynical or anything, but it's blazingly obvious to me why they do it:
It $ell$ book$!
'Nuff said. Prophecies given in the Bible come from an omniscient God who knows all events for all time, and that is something that is only true of God. So-called "prophecies" given in the Hadith or the Qur'an or any other source besides the Word of God typically fall into three categories:
1. The musings of mortal men.
2. Prophecies recycled (read "stolen") from the Bible.
3. Lies from demonic sources.
Which begs the question:
Just exactly how much does Satan know about end-time events?
Satan is not omniscient, and cannot know the future any better than we can. But there is one thing we should remember about the Adversary:
He can read.
Satan can read Scripture as well as we can, and that means Satan knows what God has told us about end-time events as well as the best Bible scholars we have, if not better. Satan has superhuman intelligence, and I'm sure he can quote the entire Bible verbatim without breaking a sweat. Do you suppose Satan has ever read Ezekiel 38–39? Oh, you bet he has. In fact, he knows the details and the players in much greater depth than we could ever hope to. After all, God was giving Ezekiel a prophecy about Satan's own plan to destroy Israel. And that is his plan! Now, consider:
Q. How hard do you think it would be for Satan to have a demon whisper a few phony "prophecies" into the ear of someone like Muhammed that are related to the events God has already clearly spelled out in His Word, so that later those "prophecies" could serve to influence and motivate certain people help him carry out his plan—people who have been indoctrinated to believe Muhammed actually spoke the words of a Creator God?
A. Piece of cake.
I admit this gets a bit convoluted, but here's the point:
So-called "prophecies" from extra-biblical sources cannot give us any greater or additional insight into end-time events than what God has already revealed to us in His Word, and to think they can is to elevate those "prophecies" to the status of inspired Scripture. And make no mistake: Doing so amounts to treating the word of Satan with a degree of awe and reverence that should be reserved for the Word of an omniscient God. The best that such extra-biblical "prophecies" can do is (a) confirm or (b) add a little creative window dressing to what God has already revealed to us in His Word. Don't give Satan credit for knowing things he doesn't know and having insight into the future he doesn't have.
OK, I'm putting my soapbox back in the closet now.
And since we're on the subject of the fallibility of Islamic "prophecies," one thing I've noticed about Islam that invariably brings a smirk to my face is the fact that Muslims have taken a page out of the Church's playbook.
As you know, many people in the Church come away from the Bible with radically different views of things. For example, some interpret certain passages in the Bible to mean there will be a pre-trib Rapture, some that there will be a post-trib Rapture, and some that there won't be a Rapture at all. Some think there is no literal Millennial Kingdom in our future. Some think we are in the kingdom now. Some think all Bible prophecy was fulfilled by AD 70, and that the book of Revelation is nothing but allegory. Some think the apostle Paul was a heretic, and that we should only focus on the words of Christ that appear in the Gospels. Some think the Church has replaced Israel in God's plan, and so the rebirth of the Jewish nation has no prophetic significance whatsoever, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.
Surprise! The same sort of thing goes on in Islam.
Many respected Muslim scholars criticize and dismiss numerous passages in the Hadith as being "weak" or "inauthentic" for a variety of reasons. Some claim that the Qur'an alone is the "pure" word of Allah. Some question the integrity or reliability of those who transcribed various parts of the Hadith and cast doubt on the accuracy or veracity of certain passages, and have widely varying opinions about how large numbers of passages should be interpreted, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.
And that certainly applies to the Hadith of Khorasan and the "army carrying black flags," a passage many highly regarded Muslim scholars have dismissed as being what I just said: weak and inauthentic.
Just don't tell that to the Taliban.
One exciting scenario
I mentioned earlier that back in November 2020, I believed that my scenario #1, where the fraud stands and Biden remains president, was both the scenario I thought to be the most likely as well as the scenario that should most excite believers. That's because it leaves a clear, open path to the battle Ezekiel 38–39 and the launching of the Tribulation, which means the Rapture is dead ahead. I've written about this before, but now would be a great time for a brief recap of why I believe that is absolutely the case.
The apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans that after Israel rejected Christ as their promised Messiah and had Him executed, God placed a partial hardening on them. This hardening manifested itself in the form of their staunch denial of Christ's identity as their true Messiah—and if you dare to bring up the subject of Jesus being the Messiah with many Jews today, you'll quickly gain a whole new appreciation of the word "hardening."
But Paul makes it clear this hardening is only designed to last until...
25For I don't desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won't be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
(Romans 11:25 / emphasis added)
"Until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." This phrase has been sliced and diced to death by generations of students of the Bible, and I will happily spare you the gory details:
This can be nothing but the Rapture of the Church.
End of conversation. I don't mind being dogmatic about this one at all: There is no other sensible, scripturally consistent way this can be interpreted.
Before Gog-Magog
can go down,
the body of Christ
must go up.
Throughout Scripture, we see God focusing His attention either on Israel or the Church, but not both at the same time. As the Church became established in the first century, we see God turning His attention away from Israel and focusing on building this body of believers in His Son. But the day will soon come when the Church is complete and when it is, He will translate it home to heaven in the Rapture.
At that point, God will begin to lift that partial hardening He placed on Israel and will once again reveal Himself to them with the goal of finally bringing them face to face with the reality that Jesus really is their Messiah.
But many of His hardhearted people will be deluded into accepting an impostor in their Messiah's place, and that impostor is none other than the Antichrist. The Antichrist will stage a fake "resurrection" at the midpoint of the Tribulation, and will mesmerize the world as being their divine savior. But one-third of the Jews will reject this impostor's claims of divinity and cling to their real Messiah, and will be protected through the Great Tribulation until they are ushered alive into the kingdom after the Second Coming.
That's all well and good, but let's go back to this key juncture where God turns His attention back to His people Israel. In the battle of Gog-Magog, described in Ezekiel 38–39, we see the God of Israel single-handedly save His people from an overwhelming attack launched by a Russian-led coalition of Islamic nations. With all their old allies now sitting idly and impotently by, squeaking in protest about this terrifying attack, Israel faces this threat all alone. So as the world sits at home and watches the annihilation of Israel unfold live on CNN, Israel has no one to come to their aid except the GAIJ:
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
And aid them He will. God will decimate the Gog-Magog coalition all by Himself, and do it in a manner that will demonstrate to the world that He is the LORD, He is the God of Israel, and He fights for His people—and both Israel and the nations of the world will know it:
23Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
(Ezekiel 38:23 AKJV / emphasis added)
23So will I make my holy name known in the middle of my people Israel; and I will not let them pollute my holy name any more: and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.
(Ezekiel 39:7 AKJV / emphasis added)
So, the battle of Gog-Magog clearly represents a point when God turns His full attention back to Israel, and that leaves us with only one conclusion:
God's intervention for His people Israel in the battle of
Gog-Magog must come at a time when He has shifted
His attention back to Israel and away from the Church.
And that can only mean one thing:
Before Gog-Magog can go down,
the body of Christ must go up.
I scarcely see how it can be otherwise. It makes no scriptural sense to me at all to see the Church still on earth when God reveals Himself anew to His people Israel by wiping the floor with their enemies and miraculously saving them from destruction in the battle of Gog-Magog. That clearly shows He has turned His attention back to Israel, and that can only mean one thing:
The Church is already home and dry.
The lay of the land
If you've read very many of my articles, you know that I eschew Rapture date-setting—and I am typically loath to even try to pin down the year. But the way things are currently shaping up, it appears the enemies of Israel are currently eyeballing a potential three-year window to achieve their goal of wiping Israel off the map via the battle of Ezekiel 38–39, and that means the Church is eyeballing a potential three-year window for the Rapture.
And I'm honestly not trying to "pin down" anything—I'm just giving you the lay of the land, so to speak, at least as I see it. That's simply the way things appear to be shaping up in real time. Of course, like I said, it could turn out that future events effectively throw my speculation to the wind, so I certainly have no business being hyper-dogmatic about it.
I will say one thing, however, for whatever it's worth...which admittedly isn't all that much. I won't name names simply because I don't want to put anyone on the hot seat, but I do keep up with the work of a number of fellow watchmen. I mean people who know and study the Word and have a reputation for rightly dividing that Word, and who have a God-given passion for eschatology and are known for their keen and up-to-date insight into end-time events (some of whom are no doubt familiar to you—or should be). In other words, my go-to guys whose opinions I value the most when it comes to things eschatological. And there may be one or two who think differently, but if memory serves...
Of those who are inclined to get specific about time frames for the Rapture (some are, some aren't), I don't recall any of them seriously considering the Rapture as occurring in a specific time frame beyond the year 2024.
Snort...snorkle...huh?! Oh, I'm terribly sorry...I must have dozed off there for a moment. Anyway, there were moments while I was working on this article when that fact made me feel pretty good.
On the other hand, there were also moments when I stopped to count my marbles to make sure I hadn't misplaced any.
